Greyhound Racing
The greyhound timing and tracking system was engineered and developed in Germany, using ultra-wideband (UWB) and radio frequency (RF) signals. This concept allows for accurate timing and tracking positions in greyhound racing within centimetres.
SECTIONAL TIMING & TRACKING SOLUTIONS
Each greyhound’s position is calculated based on the triangulation of the signal sent from tags and received by multiple pointers around the race track.
Key features include:
- High accuracy within centimetres with data delivery 50 times per second
- Live data streaming
- Advanced ‘starting box’ algorithm tracking calculation
- Wireless communication between receivers
- Cost effective solution with real time data
REAL TIME & POST RACE OUTPUTS
The following outputs are produced in real and post time:
- Permanent rankings
- Automated sectional times
- Speed and distance to lure
- Starting box reaction times
- Contact analysis during a race
- Graphic on-screen elements
- Live screen broadcasts
- Birds eye view of field placement
- Virtual graphics
APPLICATION OUTPUTS
- Virtual race track environment – position and movement of greyhounds
- Accurate graphical representation of the track in 2D or 3D mode
- Live and replay modes available
